You should make your choice based on the type of floor covering. While thick skirting boards are not necessary for carpet or PVC flooring, laminate flooring requires a skirting board with a larger profile. In larger rooms, a 20–25 mm gap at the base of the wall may need to be covered. High skirting boards are recommended for large living rooms, while thinner skirting boards are more suitable for smaller spaces. MODEMA’s product codes indicate the thickness and height. For example: 2240 = 40 mm height, 22 mm thickness.

MODEMA is the only company that holds a TSE certificate for skirting boards.

For wall installation, solvent-free, high-quality adhesives (e.g., Henkel Sista, Ceresit, etc.) or, preferably, mounting adhesive kits are recommended. Although the initial cost may seem slightly higher, considering the successful result, it will certainly be more cost-effective in the long run. If you use fast adhesive for corner joints, excessive use of the activator spray may cause the foil coating to lift; therefore, it is not recommended.

The colors of the Woody brand are compatible with the basic flooring colors commonly available on the market and come in standard color and quality. For more exclusive color matching and higher quality, the MODEMA brand should be preferred.

It is possible to paint non-coated MDF after smoothing the surface with filler before painting. However, if you choose our white paintable foil-coated models, you can paint them with any paint you prefer. If the paint you intend to use is solvent-based or requires thinning with thinner, you must inform us when placing your order. Otherwise, the adhesion strength of the foil may be affected.

Due to the specialized and high-speed machinery used in production, custom model manufacturing is generally possible for orders over 10,000 linear meters, and the process takes approximately 4 weeks. If a custom color is required, a minimum order quantity that requires 3,000 m² of foil is necessary.

Models produced outside our standard range are manufactured to order at specific intervals. Lead times may vary depending on your order quantity and color. Please send us your request specifying the quantity, model, and color; we will promptly provide a price quote including the delivery time.

Be cautious when cleaning brands other than MODEMA. You must be extremely careful when using thinner, abrasive powder cleaners, or abrasive cloths or sponges. Such methods may remove the pattern of the skirting board or cause the coating to peel. If you want to avoid these issues, we recommend choosing MODEMA.
